We are delighted to announce that the Call for Papers for the Islamic Archaeology Conference 2025 is officially open.
Over the past two decades, Islamic archaeology has expanded significantly — both geographically and methodologically. This conference aims to reflect that evolution by bringing together scholars from around the world to share research and discuss emerging trends in the field.
What Can You Submit?
We welcome both individual papers and panel proposals on a wide range of topics related to Islamic material culture, including but not limited to:
- fieldwork,
- urban development,
- architecture,
- artifacts,
- networks of exchange,
- and theoretical or technological innovations.
See the Call for Papers section on our homepage for a detailed list.

How to Submit
All abstracts will be peer-reviewed by an international scientific committee and selected based on academic merit alone.
To send your proposal, visit the Submission Guidelines page. We look forward to your contribution!
